Taman Negara - the world's oldest rain forest

On the boat back to the other side of the river, accompanied by an Orang Asli, the natives of this National park.

We made it!!! Exhausted but happy back from the trip, the 5 Swedish guys and me!

And off again: 11km back to the head office, we took the easier way, 4 1/2 hours, though crossing a river and walking with totally soaked shoes...

Mmh, canned food for lunch dinner and breakfast...here baked beans in the morning, and dried fruits and nuts!

One of the at the end 13 leech (Blutegel -ekelhaft!!) bites...bloody bastards! We kept ripping them off our shoes when they tried to get in but it was hard to catch them all...well, we survived :)!

Finally after 6 hours: our hide!! For 1 Euro per night...having a good rest on wooden benches!

Day 2: On the way to the hide, 12km long, hilly trek in a humid rain forest, sweaty!! We had to drag us up ropes, crossed several little rivers and had to balance over trees...like a parcour!

Nice view from the top...

Entrance of the Canopy walkway: 50m above the jungle ground

Amazing sunset...

On the way by jungle railway

Helpful Indian man explaining the "town highlights" to the 4 Swedish girls and me

Yippieh, fresh air in a super-hot train, with slowly working fans!

And off the journey goes: at the train station at Gua Musang, waiting for the jungle railway!

My favorite new dish: sticky rice filled with banana, wrapped in a banana leaf, yummieh!

Goodbye 12-bed dorm!
